World Breast-feeding Day observed in state
The 16th World Breast-feeding Week 2008 was observed in the state too with a state level one-day workshop under the theme
“Mother Support: Going for the Gold”
Speaking at the inaugural function of the seminar as chief guest MLA Dr Kh Loken, chairman, planning and development authority said that there is a mother behind good children.
Breast cancer is a cancer that starts in the cells of the breast in men and women. Worldwide, breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer medical research shows that mothers’ milk satisfies babies’ nutritional needs far better than any manufactured products.

. It is observed that mothers have to breast feed their children without tension as mental tension decreases milk secretion. A healthy Mother gives birth to a good child.
