Researchers in Australia have Found a way of blocking signals to and from Gab2 - the molecule operating downstream of major breast cancer oncogene HER2-preventing it from its role in cell proliferation.

“Gab2 is a signaling protein, which means that it’s involved in transmitting signals from the cell surface to the interior of the cell, instructing it to do specific things, such as divide or migrate .Gab2 performs a number of signaling roles in normal cells throughout the body ,and is usually switched off when it is not needed.”

The researchers task has been to work out how the body switches off Gab2.It is been identified a complete novel mechanism for switching off Gab2,This uses another molecule that is attached to Gab2 and acts as a kind of shield, preventing it from transmitting further proliferate signals.

This Binding partner or ‘ off Switch ‘ is called 14-3-3 and is used to disable Gab2 in a number of cellular settings, When it is no longer needed.
Our Research is an extension of a previous study, which identified Gab2. ” A scientist added “our next step is to obtain more structural information about how 14-3-3 shields Gab2.once we know that it’d be possible to design drugs to combat Gab2- activated diseases in novel ways.”

We went into the cricket tournament as an underdog as the name suggests even the toss didn’t go our way. We lost the toss and was forced to take up fielding but our bowlers did a fine job by restricting the opponent at the start of the match but we were little bit casual at the end of the match which at last cost us the match .They scored 57 runs and we in reply scored 53 runs and we lost it by 4 runs and It was me who was handling the last over which, unfortunately I couldn’t turn the match in our favor. After burning the midnight oil, tying the loose ends in the nuclear civilian nuclear pact, Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and US President George W Bush signed the much-awaited nuclear pact.
The deal was the centerpiece of President George W Bush’s first visit to India. “The deal . is done The details are being worked out and the exact language and formulation (of the deal) will be in the joint statement,” National Security Advisor M K Narayanan said after the talks between the two leaders. With the Government set to fast-forward implementation of the Indo-US nuclear deal, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh has held talks with world leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose country is the chair of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), apparently to garner support. Besides Merkel, Singh held telephonic conversations with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, whose countries are key members of the 45-nation NSG. During the talks, Singh is understood to have sought their support for India’s case in the NSG, which has to give a waiver to allow New Delhi to have civil nuclear cooperation with the international community. Racing against time to operationally the nuclear deal with the US, India is seeking an early meeting of the NSG so that its case can be taken up and cleared. In this regard, Germany will play a key role. The Government has already started sending its ministers and some senior officials to various NSG countries to muster support.
